        Hi,

I assume that you would like to use the OpenStack CLI in order to contact the APIs of other regions. This is feasible only between FILAB nodes and not from outside the federation. Either you are an Infrastructure Owner or this is not feasible.

        Does this answer your question?

        regards,

        Miguel

        Hi Federico & all,

so I use a machine in Lannion, does this mean, owners in Lannion could open the firewall?

        IP is: 193.52.45.134

I have followed the Open Stack tutoriual and installed all packages etc.

        Then, I execute this command:

        source credentials.sh

        This works:

christian.bonkowski@iais.fraunhofer.de authenticated. Using region Lannion and tenant FIC2Lab.

        Then, I run:

        Nova image-list

        Which results in:

        Dear Peter,
I will pass your case to the Lannion node, but my guess is that you have a
        problem with the libraries.

        Dear Frederico,

I think that if we have such a tutorial, it makes sense to provide there information regarding working version numbers of OpenStack tools. Or, maybe there is an VM image, or Chef receipt I could use?

My task is to try out and test many things around FIWARE from less savvy IaaS user, so I can’t debug dependency problems and expect that a FIWARE tutorial provides all information to get things working smoothly.

        Who can help?

        Kind regards

        Dear Peter,
the tutorial you refer to - as far as I understood from you was provided by
FI-Content 2 - and it is not any official document from FIWARE. So, I
expect if the tutorial they provide is uncomplete you refer to them. FIWARE
Lab and team is solely responsible of what FIWARE Lab provides, and as
mentioned by Miguel, the command line access is not the one the Lab
reccommends or supports. We can support anyhow, but surely, not be
accounted for other teams' uncomplete documentation.

As mentioned, I passed the ticket to Lannion Node, up to them to decide
wheter support you in the debugging of your installation (which is beyond
support services guranteed by the Lab).

        Hi Frederico and all,

there is nothing with accounting, I have misunderstood: I supposed that the tutorial knowledge have been provided tot he FIC2Lab team from FIWARE, also if this is not an official document.

So no worries and please take my apologies for possible tention. ☺ And thanks for redirecting to Lannion.

I have another question. As I have understood, depending on country/company of FIWARE operator, there can be different registration process beyond the Lab web account. I.e. in some cases you need to submit a ID card copy and sometimes not.

Question: Is this information available in aggregated form for all locations and if not, whom to talk regarding this?

        Thanks,

No tension The additional registration information is only required for
asking public IPs. Depending on the node you want to use you will be asked
or not for that to access a public IP. The process is still manual (since
