      Description

      Hi again,

      I have read COSMOS documentation
      <http://catalogue.fi-ware.org/enablers/bigdata-analysis-cosmos> and the wiki
      <http://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/BigData_Analysis_-_Quick_Start_for_Programmers#Step_1._Create_a_Cosmos_account>
      .

I can login at http://cosmos.lab.fi-ware.org/cosmos-gui, but when I try to

      ssh pablo@cosmos.lab.fi-ware.org

I get a "Permission denied" with my credentials.

I have tried both ssh form my machine and form a Orion VM instance. I get
      the same result.

      Any hints?

      Thanks in advance.

I have created other fi-lab user, providing a new email/user I am able to
        login via ssh to COSMOS.

I am sure I am using the proper password (I am able to login at fi-lab), so
what can be happing with the user? Where should I contact for further
        support?

        Thanks!

        Hi Pablo,

there could be several reasons for this problem.
Could you let me know on which region you are working?

        Best regards,
        Uwe

        Hi Uwe,

        Thanks for you reply.

The Orion VM instance is at Spain region, but since I have successfully
login with a new user (both from remote VM and local) It seems not to be
related with the region, but regarding an user problem...

        Hi agin,

I have realize that COSMOS public instance creates new users according the
email at loging (name@server.com -> user:'name'). What happens if two
        fi-lab users request COSMOS access?

Since I am able to ssh with a new user, now I can list the floders at
COSMOS, and I found that user 'pablo' exists since last year (2014-10-15) .
It seems to be a problem.

However, I can not find 'pablofdi' folder (my new user), and if I try to
        make it:

        [pablofdi@cosmosmaster-gi ~]$ hadoop fs -mkdir /user/pablofdi
        mkdir: org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.namenode.SafeModeException: Cannot
create directory /user/pablofdi. Name node is in safe mode.

        Thanks in advance.
