Support needed on Fiware upgrade
Description:
We started using Fiware Orion Context Broker and IoT Agent from 2019. Since Orion version 2.3.0 was the stable version available at that time, we went into production on version 2.3.0 and built an entire ecosystem of applications around it. We understand that there have been many new Orion releases after that with new feature additions and fixes. Hence we want to upgrade our Orion Context Broker and IoT Agent now.
Need your guidance, help and support on how do we go about with the upgrade. Some of the questions we have are:
Which is the latest Fiware stable version which can be used in our production environment
What are the compatible MongoDB and IoT Agent versions that also need to be upgraded along with the Context Broker
Best practices to be followed during the upgrade like:
How do we upgrade without any data loss
Do we upgrade MongoDB directly with the data within it, or first install newer version of MongoDB, and then import data within it.
Sequence of upgrade, like do we upgrade MongoDB first, then Orion and then IoT Agent
Will there be any impact on existing data formats or service-path naming etc. due to the upgrade
Will there be any impact on the functionalities like subscriptions, registrations etc. due to the upgrade.
If you can provide us guidance, reference links, related documentation, previous experiences in upgrade etc. will be of great help to us.
