      Description

      Responsible: fiware@ulpgc.es
Tested GE(s): Complex Event Processing (CEP) - IBM Proactive Technology
      Online
      Instance: Local
Operating System: Ubuntu 14.04 64 bits
      Java: SE 1.6.0_45
      Tomcat: 7.0.26

      Description
After deploying the CEP AuthoringTool and the ProtonWebServer we cannot see
any log or results from the Proton web server.

However, moving the resulting project file from the AuthoringTool and
configuring the local jar file we managed to make CEP server work. This
makes us suspect there is a configuration error in the provided war files
      for ProtonWebServer.

Could you please add more information?
        1. From where did you take the CEP?
        2. Which configuration did you make and to which jar file?
        3. To where you moved the project file?

        Thank you,

        Hello Tali

Here we reply to the questions one by one:

        1. From where did you take the CEP?
As we there is no reference to the code in the Administration and Installation Guide nor in the User and Programmer guide we directly went to the downloads section of the catalogue: http://catalogue.fi-ware.org/enablers/complex-event-processing-cep-ibm-proactive-technology-online/download.

There we are pointed to a GitHub repository (https://github.com/ishkin/Proton) from where we took all the code.

        2. Which configuration did you make and to which jar file?
We downloaded the IBMProton.zip file from the repository and extracted all the files. Then we ran IBMProtonApp.jar after changing the metadataFileName field in config/Proton.properties. The file is attached so you can see the change.

        3. To where you moved the project file?
We simply moved it to the sample folder of the IBMProton.zip default structure. As we said this worked and we received the expected output but we were unable to make the online version work (which is located in IBMProtonOnWebServer.zip)

        Best regards,

Thank you for your additional information.
However, I still can't tell why you have this problem.
Did you try to activate Tomcat after you deployed the 4 wars on Tomcat?
Can you send me the tomcat log (under Tomcat's log directory)?
