      Description

      Hello,

I’m searching information about the LOCS Enabler and how to use it. I haven’t been able to find it in the Catalogue, and the information I have found is not clear enough to tell if there is an API available to download or a link where that API is deployed and can be used.

Can you please give me some tips on this enabler.

      Thanks

      Ricardo

        Dear Ricardo,

        Thanks for contacting us.

We have been making a radical update of our offering. FIWARE has decided to clean up the catalogue and leave out those who will not be part of future releases or those who are not freely available for everyone with a reasonably "open" license. This process is finished now and LOCS is one of the GEs that disappear from the catalogue.

The GE remains documented in the wiki and all the public information is available on other repositories (for instance, https://forge.fi-ware.org/docman/?group_id=7) . Not on the catalogue. I was checking and the software was privately available to the members of the PPP Programme (now renamed as FIWARE Programme) but not freely available to external stakeholders. I should check this concrete case but I guess that this was the reason why it is out.

The good news is that we are incorporating new GEs shortly. Those under Advanced Middleware & Web user interfaces in the wiki will be freely available soon on FI-Lab and the catalogue. I refer to these:

Please keep the list in CC in there are more interactions, I am taking a 2 week leave right now and the list has more people from the team who could eventually cater for further doubts.

        Best regards,

        Miguel
