      Description

      Hi there,

I'm writing from Business Wales, Welsh Government.

We provide business advice and support & part of this service is promoting anything that may be of interest to the business community. To ensure we are providing the most up to date information to clients, I wanted to ask whether your support is ongoing or whether you have any specified 'end dates' to your support programme?

      Many thanks

      Cerri

        Hi Cerri,

Thanks for the interest in our initiative. The answer is very short. To start with, the project is supported by the European Commission and the current commitments with them ensures at least two more years of support (until Sept 2016). But our intention is to go beyond the current project; FIWARE is a platform, not a project and one of our key goals is to make it sustainable over time. We count with the commitment of the partners to strengthen it and keep it alive in years to come. One of the major work streams for the near future is about substantiating a more formal framework to express this in clear terms of lifecycle, governance structures, communities, etc. (doing so is also a commitment with the EC)

        Best regards,

        Miguel
