Wageningen Economic Research (subdivision of Wageningen University & Research) is continuously investigating and improving efficiency in the agricultural sector. Currently, one relevant topic in this sector is improving efficiency by enhancing data exchange between parties using agricultural data platforms. This survey aims to create a general overview of agricultural data platforms available worldwide and is part of the DATA-FAIR project. The DATA-FAIR project tries to make a breakthrough in the hurdles experienced when exchanging agri-food data between different platforms.

This research is part of larger collaboration with the Internet of Food and Farm 2020 (IoF2020) project. IoF2020 strives to apply the revolutionary potential of Internet of Things within the European food and farm industry. In IoF2020 the requirements for collaboration and data exchange will be investigated, which will offer insights in the position and applicability of your data platform. These results will be shared with the respondents.
