      Description

      Dear all,

we have been trying to set up and use GEs at the FI-WARE infrastructure,
both the testbed and the lab, but with a very mixed success.

At the testbed I (at the project name matej-artac) tried to set up some
instances from images and blueprints. I set up two blueprints
effectively with the same stack - just one Orion Cloud Broker tier. At
this moment, one of the two has the status DEPLOYING for several days,
while the other one is in status ERROR with the explanation
      "Infrastructure error region not found".

Another problem is that I cannot seem to change the states of the
instances in any way. I have two instances in task deleting, while
      another one is in scheduling.

Could you please advise on how to set up any GEs from the market on the
testbed to be able to use them? We are currently looking at a
combination of Access Control GE, Keyrock, Wirecloud and Orion Context
Broker. Using blueprints seemed to only work up to a point, because
installation does not complete on the instance. I tried both ubuntu13.10
(which I don't think is supported any more by canonical - should there
be a 12.04 or a 14.04 also available?) and the CentOS image, but with no
success. Are the issues related to the software on the marketplace that
      isn't tested enough?

We've had less problems using the cloud.lab, even though there are
difficulties there as well. The success of instantiating a GE from an
image is not always certain, and some of the requests from the Nova
(such as deploying a new instance, requesting a status of an instance by
clicking an never finishes, leaving me with a spinning orb blank out
until refreshing the page. In some task when a Nova wizard makes AJAX
requests that the server never respods to, this makes it impossible to
finish a task and requires a refresh of the whole page. On the
screenshot below, the grey GET bullets in the Network view are waiting
      for a response indefinately.

Are there any pointers and instructions that would help us have more
success with deploying and using the testbed and the cloud lab?

      Thank you and best regards,
      Matej
