Dear Sanjay,
Thanks for approaching us.
You can find enough information into the space dedicated to Smart
Cities within the FIWARE website
<https://www.fiware.org/community/smart-cities/>, but I believe that the
official FIWARE for Smart Cities presentation
<https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4G2SvO4TLuLWG91TzRrZWJfbzg/view?usp=sharing>
can bring the answer to your question. The Smart Cities brochure you
can download from the mentioned website could also be useful.
Please note that FIWARE is useful:
- for developing Smart City vertical solutions (e.g., smart waste
management, smart parking, smart traffic, ...)
- for transforming Cities into Smart Cities (in this case, bringing
the cross-vertical platform enabling overall city-level smart
management of services and open innovation involving third parties)
You can find the Reference Architecture of any "Powered by FIWARE"
Smart City vertical solution depicted on slide 19 of the mentioned
presentation (also on slide 20, just turned 90º
The Reference Architecture of a "Powered by FIWARE" Smart City brings
different components depending what stage of maturity the city has reached:
- Basic Smart Cities which are using the platform just for a smart
management of services at overall city-level will adopt the
architecture depicted on slide 25
- Smart Cities exporting part of their context data in right-time and
transforming into platforms enabling third parties to develop
innovative services adopt the architecture depicted on slide 30
- Smart Cities bringing support to development of a full Data Economy
(bringing support to data marketplaces) adopt the architecture
depicted on slide 32
We would be more than happy to setup a confcall where we can
elaborate on all the above and respond to any question you may have.
Perhaps this coming Monday 24th at 15:00?
Cheers,
–
