we are currently in the process of selecting and evaluation an IoT platform. Some information about our company and our situation:

L-mobile solutions GmbH & Co. KG:
is an owner-managed company in the south of Germany and offers user-friendly mobile B2B software solutions - whether in

· warehouse logistics with mobile data collection,

· digitized production,

· service management or

· digital object tracking
We apply different wireless technologies (WLAN, RFID, various UHF related products) and support various ERP systems (Navision, Sage, SAP,…)
Customer base:
We serve various clients in the

· industry,

· trade / services,

· medical / pharmaceuticals & chemicals, food sectors

Technology change:
L-mobile has reached a point where its years of exclusive in-house development in the area of SCADA and machine data acquisition needs to be enriched with the features of a state-of-the-art IoT platform and needs to be raised to a level based on market standards. We have own resources and skill to integrate device into a platform.

To join and work together with an Open Source community for us is an attractive alternative to a commercial product. What we have seen in the marketing material of FIWARE looks quite promising.

We are looking for somebody in the community – preferably involved in the industrial business sector –to talk to regarding own-made, practicable experiences with FIWARE. This could be a big step to convince our company internal decision makers to possibly join the FIWARE community.

We had a whole day workshop with L-Mobile and Mr. Krieg on 23rd Oktober.
Here their statement to Ulrich after their evaluation:
"L-Mobile has decided for the moment not to go with FIWARE bud to evaluate
until end of January 2019 based on the other platform (I assume Microsoft
Azure IoT)."
