      Description

      Hi there,

is there any way to successfully start an instance in the cloud an access it over the internet?
I watched the video explaining how to start instances, set up security group and assigning a floating ip.
But for none of the available regions all steps that have to be done showed up to work.

      For Example
in Spain I am able to start an instance, but I won’t get a floating IP (error: undefined, cause unknown)
in Berlin I am able to get a floating IP, but none of the images can be launched (ERROR, no explanation)
In Trento I am able to start an instance, with an external reachable IP, but the VM started seems to have no network access (seen on the log)

Can someone tell me a combination of Region/Image which I will be able to launch and access via the internet.

      Greetings,
      Nicolas Berr

        Hi Nicolas,

in Berlin we had a configuration issue between approx 17:00 and 18:00 CEST which was resolved.

I saw in the logs that you tried around that time.

The issue is resolved and it should work now again.

Unfortunately, we are now in the same situation as other nodes and cannot allocate new floating IPs anymore.

We are trying to make more available - but public IPs are a very scarce resource.

The problem is that we need two IPs for each tenant (one for the router and one for the VM) and users tend to step out without freeing resources allocated.
So we will need some time to clean-up again.

        Please stay tuned.

        Best Regards, Bernd
