      Description

      Dear all, good morning

This is the first time that I develop an application with FiWare and I
don't know how to start. I'm going to use Identity Manager, Orion Context
Broker and Complex Event Manager enablers.

Where I need to install the enablers? Is it necessary to user Fi-Lab and
the Virtual Machine to develop my application? Is there a little guide to
      start with Fi-Ware generic enablers??

Thank in advance for your support

        Dear Jesús,

You can download the GE implementations and install them locally. It is not mandatory but I would say that the best way of proceeding is using FIWARE Lab. Why? Simple, we have self deployment facilities and they will save a lot of trouble. Not for all Ges, but for many of them. For instance, you can deploy Orion with a few clicks. The alternative is downloading the GE implementations and following the installation guides, which always takes time.

Using FIWARE Lab you will not need to use your local computing resources either, which is always nice.

This is a very large scale project so there is are massive amounts of information in many places. We 've made an effort to create a repository that concentrates all the relevant pointers for each GEi. This is the catalogue (http://catalogue.fi-ware.org/enablers/). My advice would always be go there and see what we can offer for each GE. Each enabler has an installation/admin manual and a user manual, the user manual is normally short and straight to the point. Each GE has associated Open Specs that should be referred form the "Overview" tab of the respective catalogue entry.

Additionally, we have an eLearning environment called FIWARE Academy (edu.fi-ware.org/) that depending on what you want to do maybe of great help.

I hope that this is of help.

        Best regards,

        Miguel

        Dear Miguel, dear all

thank you very much for your response.

I'm trying to work with a Virtual Machine from Fiware Labs. I'm taking into
        account the advices from StackOverflow
        http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26928549/use-an-instance-of-orion-context-broker-fiware
        and
        http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26928341/installing-context-broker-ge-in-fiware

But when I try to connect with my VM with SSH, I can't. I have a
certificate (generate by Fi Labs, of course) and I associate a IP to my VM

Attached you'll find a screenshot of my VM Instance

How I can access to my VM from my local computer? Do I need a public IP? In
this case, how I get this public IP?

Best regards and excuse me for ask a lot

Please log in on FIWARE Lab, go to "Help & Info". You'll see that there are several embedded videos. Choose "Cloud" and then "instances". Watch this video and see if this resolves you doubts. It takes just 6 minutes to watch.

        Dear Jesús,

Please log in on FIWARE Lab, go to "Help & Info". You'll see that there are several embedded videos. Choose "Cloud" and then "instances". Watch this video and see if this resolves you doubts. It takes just 6 minutes to watch.

I hope that this clarifies !

        Best regards,

        Miguel

        Dear Miguel, dear all

thank you very much for your response.

I'm trying to work with a Virtual Machine from Fiware Labs. I'm taking into account the advices from StackOverflow
        http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26928549/use-an-instance-of-orion-context-broker-fiware and
        http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26928341/installing-context-broker-ge-in-fiware

But when I try to connect with my VM with SSH, I can't. I have a certificate (generate by Fi Labs, of course) and I associate a IP to my VM

Attached you'll find a screenshot of my VM Instance

How I can access to my VM from my local computer? Do I need a public IP? In this case, how I get this public IP?

Best regards and excuse me for ask a lot

Additionally, we have an eLearning environment called FIWARE Academy (edu.fi-ware.org/<http://edu.fi-ware.org/>) that depending on what you want to do maybe of great help.

I hope that this is of help.

        Best regards,

        Miguel

        Dear all, good morning

This is the first time that I develop an application with FiWare and I
don't know how to start. I'm going to use Identity Manager, Orion Context
Broker and Complex Event Manager enablers.

Where I need to install the enablers? Is it necessary to user Fi-Lab and
the Virtual Machine to develop my application? Is there a little guide to
        start with Fi-Ware generic enablers??

Thank in advance for your support
