      Description

      Good Morning

I received a warning about the FIWARE Tenerife Node.

Some question about the last activities and the impacts.

1- Which are the available nodes and actually usable?

2- What is the correct procedure for migrating the account into another node? I didn´t see a process on the help session.

3- Are there other types of platform maintenance activities in the future? If yes, could you share with us the activities planned?

During the training process in the Canary Islands, Madeira and Azores on the platform, we told dozens of new users to use the Tenerife Node ( I thinks is equivalent to the node-int-net-01)

4- Which other nodes can be used? Spain for example?

I saw that fiwarelab now has a new layout, but I do not see the blueprints.

5- Could we use the blueprints on the new platform?

6- When that new platform will be ready to use?

      Thanks

      Luca

        Dear User,

Thanks for you email. Please see below answers to your questions:

1- Which are the available nodes and actually usable?
        _
The federation Works as a cluster of nodes. When you have a community account, you can request Access to another active node, so that your account is authorized on it. When you request Access through the standard support channel, the fiware support team will route your request properly. In case you have specific requirements about geography due to any constraint or policy, then you can make a statement about geography preferences, and the fiware support team will try to make the best fit.

2- What is the correct procedure for migrating the account into another node? I didn´t see a process on the help session.

You should raise a request here at standard support channel, including your specific data (user, tenant id, instances that you want to migrate) specifying you want your account migrated to another federation node from the Spain-Tenerife node.

3- Are there other types of platform maintenance activities in the future? If yes, could you share with us the activities planned?

The Spain Tenerife node will stop operations definitely, not because of temporary maintenance. That is why we are announcing user accounts must migrate to another node if users want to do so.

4- Which other nodes can be used? Spain for example?

Yes, Spain is an active node and could be used to host your account . Nevertheless, when you raise the request for account migration, you can ask specifically about availability on this node if you are planning to migrate there

I saw that fiwarelab now has a new layout, but I do not see the blueprints.

5- Could we use the blueprints on the new platform?
6- When that new platform will be ready to use?

These two questions are on scope of the fiware platform global administrators. I kindly suggest you raise a question specific to this topics on hte fiware help channel.

We hope this contributes to clarify next steps.

        Best Regards,
