FIWARE.Request.Tech.Security.IDM-KeyRock.Externalapplication

    Details

    • HD-Chapter:
      Security
    • HD-Enabler:
      KeyRock

      Description

      Responsible: fiware@ulpgc.es
Environment, instance and tested GEs: Fiware Lab - Global instance - Store
      // Account
Web Browser: Mozilla Firefox, v. 33, Google Chrome, v. 38.0.2125.104
      Operating System: Windows 8
      User id: storedata.test.ulpgc@gmail.com

      Description:

While we were trying to register an application in Account area in order to
upload it later as an offering into the Store, we saw that the registering
form you should fill has 3 steps, but you only need to fill the first one
in order to create the application,.

This behaviour implies that you could decide to abort the registration at
step 2 (choose an icon for the application) but you will find later that
the application whose registration you stopped is actually registered and
      ready.

It is not an error, but maybe it could generate confusion to the users,
because they would expect the application is going to be registered at the
      end of the process.

      How to replicate:

First of all, you should go to “Account” and start registrating a new
application. Fill all the gaps for the first step as usual.

At the second step, instead of providing an icon, you should go away from
the form. Example: clicking on “Account” again.

Finally, go to the Account main area and you will see your application
registered, although you left the registering form at step 2.

Two screenshots are attached to this ticket.

The first one shows a message below the icon (step 2 for the application
registering form) that says your application was successfully created in
      the middle of the process.

The second one shows the created application after you go away from the
      form.
