Administratively speaking this should be possible of course. But the important thing to check is whether the architecture would still be sound technically after removing the GE or replacing it.

Could you give some more details in order to understand the situation better? i.e. What is their architecture like, and the system envision? Which GE they are thinking of replacing? And with which GE, etc.?

They have several installation issues for which they are in contact with the GE owner. However, it is taking too long and they are afraid that they will be thrown out of schedule.

Hello Aggelos,

my name is Ana and I'm a member of Agrishares team. Regarding our
architecture changes, currently it's as in the image below.

What we realized is that our end-users are in great majority non-experts
regarding IT and that giving them liberty to edit their front-end is not
really advantage but may bring confusion and won't help our easy-to-use
goal. For this reason, we would like to remove Application Mashup GE and
develop static and predefined front-end. We would design a web site with
our vision of what the end-user needs and then adjust it according to
feedback that we receive later in the project. We do realize that
Application Mashup might be convenient for this adjustments but we fear
that it might take too much time to deploy it and that the added value is
not significant enough.

I would appreciate any comments or advice.

Hi Aggelos,

My apologies, I just realized I missed your follow up message below, and mistook it for the original message.

Yes, administratively, it should be ok to replace the Wirecloud GE in this architecture. The FIWARE usage by the project will be much less in that case, but that may still be ok given they are also using Wstore and Repository GEs. I would still encourage them to check the FIWARE catalogue in case any other GE could be useful to them.
