From the Security menu (on the left) go in the "Security Groups" tab and edit the rules for "default" security group item using the "actions" combo. Please use: ICMP -1 for ping TCP 22 for ssh TCP 80 for http TCP 443 for https You can open more ports using from port (1) to port (65535). second - if you want to connect to VM via SSH then you have to use the keypair (you don't need credentials but only the keypair): ssh -i your_keypair.pem root@IP_PUBLIC For more info you can see this presentation at link http://www.slideshare.net/finodexproject/fiware-cloud-capabilitiesandsettingupyourenvironment (slides 21 for security groups and 51,52, and 53 for connection) I hope I help you.
