      Description

      Hi!

      We tried to install the identity manager enabler, and had some problems:

      We installed the package using the guide (
      https://github.com/ging/fi-ware-idm/wiki/Installation-guide ) , then
      configured the mysql-apache also (
      https://github.com/ging/fi-ware-idm/wiki/Production-set-up-guide ).

      The service starts:
      fab localhost horizon.dev_server

      [localhost] Executing task 'horizon.dev_server'
      [localhost] local: sudo tools/with_venv.sh python manage.py runserver
      127.0.0.1:8000

          Hello Gergely,

          Thank you for using the FIWARE – CEED Tech coaching mailing list.

          I’m not a Python expert, but it seems it’s not able to retrieve the “xstatic.main” module.
          I’m guessing it’s something related to initial settings. I’m sure you did, but just to be sure: did you create correctly the settings file? (cp conf/settings.py.example conf/settings.py)

          Instead of using the automated installation script from the fi-ware-idm repository, you could also try to install the two components of KeyRock manually by following this guide<https://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Identity_Management_-_KeyRock_-_Installation_and_Administration_Guide> from FIWARE Wiki.

          Let me know if this solves this problem or not.
          If not, I will contact directly the owner of the enabler to get support.

          Best regards,
          Marco

          Hello Marco,

          yes, I created the config file.

          I tried to reinstall it using the guide you suggested, but this guide is less informational then the original (which also lack a lot of explanation)...
          for example in https://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Identity_Management_-_KeyRock_-_Installation_and_Administration_Guide#System_Installation there is the 3. IdM-specific settings point.
          Which file should I edit?
          What are the parameters?

          FIWARE Applications and Roles need also explanation...what is this? where are more information about this?

          Hello.
          Thank you for the answer, could you write this also in the documentation?
          I would like to ask a few more questions:

          IDM_USER_CREDENTIALS = {
          'username': '$$IDM_NAME',
          'password': '$$IDM_PASS',
          'project': '$$IDM_PROJECT',
          }

          These variables aren't defined anywhere, but I didn't found explanation about it.
          Should I hardcode the username-password-project in plain text or something else is the solution?

          In the example this is the configuration:
          IDM_ROOT = './'
          KEYSTONE_ROOT = IDM_ROOT + 'keystone/'
          HORIZON_ROOT = IDM_ROOT + 'horizon/'

          1. Hosts
            HOSTS = { 'keystone': ['user@host'], 'horizon': ['user@host'], }

            But there is not a single thing about a proper configuration...
            The user@host needs to be overwritten, or this is the configuration?
            If this is a variable, there should be somewhere about it.
            If this needs to be overwritten, then there should be a comment about this, like elsewhere in the guide.

          Is there somewhere a littlebit detailed guide?
          Best regards,
