      Description

      Dear Sir or Madam,

my name is Daniel Hofman and I am working as a consultant in the area of
Smart Cities for several cities in the Czech Republic. These Czech cities
are planning to implement a Smart City platform to bring new services and
benefits to its citizens and have more understanding of the city processes
and be able to adjust its utility management etc.

All these cities are now in the phase of searching more information about
current solutions. They do not want to be attached to one proprietary
platform for several years. Instead of that they are looking for an open
platform where different developers can cooperate.

Your platform looks very interesting and I would like to ask if you have
some more documentation about your solution. Or some more information
about the cooperation with software companies during the development? Is
there any city which has already implemented your solution in a bigger
      scale?

      Yours sincerely
      Daniel Hofman

        Dear Daniel,

The following presentation summarises the main FIWARE features offered to Smart Cities.

        http://es.slideshare.net/jmcanterafonseca/fiware-smart-cities

The following resource includes commercial materials on FIWARE for smart cities:

        https://www.fiware.org/smart-cities/

I hope this helps you to start understanding what is FIWARE.

With regards to cities, the cities of Guadalajara and Valencia in Spain count with production-level installations of FIWARE. Other cities, such as Seville or Malaga have several successful pilots. Last but not least the city of Santander in Spain is about to start its production-ready smart city project using FIWARE technologies.

        thanks, best
