Dear Sir or Madam,
we have Orion Context Broker set up on our own server. We are having some
problems. When we want to make a query on OCB, we get a Task Canceled
Exception. The interesting thing is, this happens only on the first request.
If we then make the same request again (imediatelly after the exception is
thrown) it will work just fine. If we wait a couple of hours until the next
request, it will fail again (but again, only the first request).
It seems like we get the exception only if OCB isn't used in a while. If
requests are short time apart, it will work just fine. But if a couple of
hours have passed from the last request, then an exception will occur.
It would almost seem like OCB is going into sleep mode if not used for a
longer period of time. Then on the first request it needs to wake up but
takes to long and an exception is thrown. This is just speculation.
Would you happen to have any explanation as to why this happens?
Best Regards,
Marko Majdič

Hi,
We provide technical support on Orion Context Broker through StackOverflow http://stackoverflow.com. This way, all the Q&A about the FIWARE platform become available in a public and searchable knowledge base like StackOverflow, which is quite popular among developers.
In that sense, could you ask your question using that platform, please? Use the “fiware-orion” tag (this is important: using this tag in your question is the only way our support staff realizes a new question on Orion has been posted). Any further interaction will be carried out through answers and comments to your question.
Thanks!
Best regards,
