Hi,
it seems Michel’s mail below has been classified as spam (I just removed the reference to a Youtube URL as we infer it was the source of spam assassin classification).
Could you please check if you received it, and maybe add again Michel to your whitelist of mail addresses?
Thanks!

Hi Alfonso,
Thanks for your answers. I add cristian to the mail list who help us to build the good environment.
To avoid misunderstanding, perhaps it is better to explain what we would like to do:
We would like to create vms, by creating instance, or by using blueprint.
· All Vms need to access to internet to install software by using apt-get install to add software into vms.
To do that:
is it mandatory to associate a public ip to each vms which have to get software from internet.
if not, how to do that ?
is it the good way to create a router which is connected to internet and connected to local network, so vms belonging to local network have access to internet to install new software.
Do we need to install, a vm as a proxy ? do you have the process to do that ?
· Secondly few of the vms deploys services which must be available on internet (as web servers, api, or other tcp services )
To do that:
is it mandatory to associate a public ip to each vms to expose service to internet
if not, how to do that ?
§ is it the good way to create a router which is connected to internet and connected to local network, but we need certainly to do NAP/PAT.
§ Do we need to install, a vm as a proxy ? do you have the process to do that ?
· concerning local network, you are right, we could use the exiting local network (we decided to create a network and a router as showed in the following fiware video ***<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAVH3b67hP8&feature=youtu.be> )
· concerning router, it is linked to previous questions, do we need to create one to do what we would to do, if it is necessary, cristian could do it.
You know what we would like to do, what is the best way to do that ?
If you need more information, don’t hesitate to call me.
Waiting your answer
Kind regards
Michel baille

Good morning
Before giving your quota for routers and networks (it usually creates problems and it is quite difficult for the user, so that we decide to avoid it), I would like to know the reason to create routers and networks. There is already a network node-int-net-01 which you can use and where you can allocate floating ips to your VM. To do that, firtly allocate a ip (security, floating ips) and then associate this IP to your VM.
Please, could you give us more information?
Regards,
Henar

Hi Alfonso
Thank you for your quick answers
The account is Laurent.chivot@orange.com<Laurent.chivot@orange.com<Laurent.chivot@orange.com%3cmailto:Laurent.chivot@orange.com>>
project info are

Do you have a procedure to set a proxy ?
at this moment, on this account, it is not possible to delete or create a network and we haven’t quotas to create a router.
Even if we arrive to create a router, do we have enough right to create an interface on the router to associate le local network ?
Thanks in advance for your help

Dear Michel,
in order to connect several VMs to internet you should use 1 VMs that act as proxy for the other ones.
Anyhow, which is the node where your account is hosted ?
Thanks,
Alfonso

Issue id: HELP-6351
Description:
Hi
I'm working on a use case to connect city sensors and data to a data marketplace, through Fiware enablers and our own developments.
1) I plan to use Orion and Ckan, but my account quotas has only one public ip.
- Is it possible to use only one public IP to connect several Vm to internet ? Or do I need one Public Ip per Vm ? if only one Public Ip is necessary, could you give me more information please?
2) Troubles with my account
a. It is not possible to create a router (quotas 0 router)
[Description : Description : cid:image003.png@01D18E4F.80C26880]But my account has only on public Ip,
b. It is not possible to delete a subnet and so t it is not possible to delete a network
[Description : Description : cid:image004.png@01D18E4F.80C26880]
c. It is not possible to create a network (quotas is already reached, but I can't delete one.)

Hi
In line:
· All Vms need to access to internet to install software by using apt-get install to add software into vms. To do that:
is it mandatory to associate a public ip to each vms which have to get software from internet. if not, how to do that ?
[Henar] If the VM is deployed in the networking node-int-net-01, it has connectivity with Internet. You can verify it. Everything is already ready for that
is it the good way to create a router which is connected to internet and connected to local network, so vms belonging to local network have access to internet to install new software.
[Henar] It is possible to do that, but it is too complex. Due to it, we have prepared the network node-int-net-01 so that users can use it. Please use this network, instead of deploying networks and routers and configuring it, which is a really complex process.
Do we need to install, a vm as a proxy ? do you have the process to do that ?
[Henar] If you use the node-int-net-01 network, you don't need to do anything.
· Secondly few of the vms deploys services which must be available on internet (as web servers, api, or other tcp services ). To do that:
is it mandatory to associate a public ip to each vms to expose service to internet. if not, how to do that ?
[Henar ]if you want to access to your VM from internet you need at least a public Ip. To do that, you can go to security-floating ips, create a new one and associated to your VM. In the blueprint you should select the Internet network too.
As floating ip are a finite resource, we only provide one per user. If you want to access to more than one IP from Internet, you can use iptables. You can have a look at joseignaciocarretero.blogspot.com.es
[henar] Try to suggestion instead of creating routers, networks
