Our services give farmers a heads up on weather events. AgroForecast provides high resolution weather forecast for South-Eastern Europe with the lead time of 3-4 days and crucial agro-meteorological variables on hourly basis, especially focusing on rain. For all major crops, IrrigAdvice tells farmers when to irrigate and in what amount, based on farmers’ tensiometer measurement and rain forecast.

Since running weather forecast model needs high computer resources, we would like to ask for at least m1.xlarge flavor instance (8 cores, 16GB memory, 80GB disk pace) to be able to provide forecasts in time. We have been in contact with some other projects which would also like to use our weather forecast service on larger area, however for that we would need even more computer resources (ideally: ~16 cores - preferably Intel Sandy Bridge or newer with clock 2Ghz+, 30GB RAM and 300GB disk space)? Is it maybe possible to get such instance? Thank you very much in advance. |
