Hi Josè,

the VM we are talking about belong to Francesco Danza (owner of project
BREAD) on which we are working.

The question is:

we have 1 single public IP: 130.206.118.133
we have 2 VMs, whose addresses are: 192.168.53.2 and 192.168.53.5

we have a need to reach the 2 VM from the public Internet.

Currentlly:

130.206.118.133 --> 192.168.53.2

?????? --> 192.168.53.5

Is it possible to get another public IP address ?

Alternatively, can we make a NAT with port translation like:

130.206.118.133:88 --> 192.168.53.5:80

a) Is it possible to reach the 2 instances we have created (192.168.53.2
and 192.168.53.5) from the single floating IP address we have currently ?
(Mapping one instance on port 80 and the other on another port (eg: 88) ?

b) Alternatively, is it possible to have a secon public floating IP address

The neutron capabilities are enabled, however, the quotas are 0 routers and 0 networks by default.

The IP is being NATed, that's why you can ssh it or the VM can reach the world with that IP. And it is mapped in L3 (IP level), nothing to do with higher levels (TCP levels). Anything coming from the private ip will be translated to a public IP and the reverse way is also true, anything going to the public IP will be translated to be sent to the private IP.

The VM with that pair of public and private IPs doesn't belong to you.

Anyway, I really don't understand your needs. There's no PAT at all in the Spain2 node, we only use NAT. So, ports has nothing to do in our case.
