      Description

      Hello,

as per our experience it seems to be impossible to realize a port
forwarding using network layer. IPTables doesn't work as NAT/ Port
forwarding towards machines in the local network.
You can setup an Apache server on private network and is reachable by
machines connected to same private network, but no way to redirect external
trafic from a front end machine.

      At application layer, everything works.
Our workaround is to use application layer, that means installing a proxy
      server, which solves the issue.

Why can't we use the network layer (IPTables port forwarding)?
