Description
Hi
I have been given this email address by HENAR MUOZ FRUTOS from telefonica
as I have been asking around about setting up a FIWARE development system.
Can you advise please? I see that we can sign up to Spain2 and we can then
move onto the cloud. But that does not contain the detail for how it all
works.
What would help me understand the system is a brief outline of what you get
and how to organise development, more specifically:
1. Does the development environment come with access to all the GEs ?
2. Does the environment support application building and mashing?
3. What building tools are available?
4. Does the environment provide a test environment with links to other
server/services?
5. If we want to use additional languages, e.g. Python is this
possible and how can we get access?
Sorry if the questions are somewhat basic but we are only just getting into
the need for a FIWARE environment.
Best Regards
Tony Blake

Hi,
1. typically you would only use a limited number of GEs. please check on the Fiware catalogue what GEs are available. there are images in the Fiware Lab with some of the Ges deployed, but you can deploy them manually as well.
2. you can create mashups with the Wirecloud GE. check the catalogue
3. Fiware GEs export Apis, so you can use your favorite programming languages. There is an incipient Fiware Sdk with libraries to help you. check at https://github.com/telefonicaid/FIWARE-sdk or other GH projects which have been recently started by the community.
4. you have experimentation instances deployed on the Fiware Lab, for instance Orion Ge is at orion.lab.fiware.org:1026
5. you can use Python. there are incipient libraries to get access to the Orion Context broker. search for orion fiware python in GH.
hope this helps
