Dear Teodor,
It seems that this case got stuck in our systems. We apologise for the delay in responding.
We do offer a free experimentation environment called FIWARE Lab
(lab.fiware.org/). It offers trial accounts to experiment with FIWARE
for a limited period of time (see the T&C, particularly this
section:
http://wiki.fiware.org/FIWARE_LAB_Terms_and_Conditions#User_Policy).
As you can read, those who belong to the Acceleration Programme can
upgrade to "community" accounts. Users beyond this programme can also
apply if they prove to have a solid experimentation
plan based on FIWARE.
FIWARE is providing the so called Generic Enablers . Generic means that
they can be applied to no matter what industry, they are general purpose
artefacts. The best approach is to go to the catalogue (http://catalogue.fi-ware.org/enablers)
and see our current offer. The catalogue concentrates the information
of all the the available GEs with all the pointers to the manuals, open
specs, terms of use, etc.
In general terms, the GEs expose REST interfaces and you can talk to them from your app.
We do not offer a production environment if this is what you ask for,
FIWARE Lab is for experimentation purposes only. At least, for the
moment. So if you finally develop an app based on FIRAWE and deploy it
to users (with or without a profit) you will have
to find a different provider. We just facilitate the adoption of out
technology with a sort of powerful "sandbox".
Note that FIWARE Lab has self-deployment artefacts such as recipes or
ready-made images to save you the trouble of installing each Ge by hand
I hope that this helps/clarifies
Regards,
Miguel
