Hi, I met some of FIWARE members at the smartcity Barcelona expo. I have also been following FIWARE for some time now.

I work at CISTER , an embedded and realtime systems research lab in Porto, Portugal. We are organising the next European conference on wireless sensor networks in February (9th to 11th). As a part of that, we are conducting a smartcity workshop on the 9th morning. We are inviting people from academia, industry as well as governmental organisations with active interest and experience in this area. The general theme of the half-day workshop is to discuss the outlook, experiences and opportunities in this field. We are hoping to have talks, usecases and discussions in it.

FIWARE has great initiatives in Smartcities and we feel it would be good idea if someone is able to talk about their effort (as part of the technical usecase/demo section) and share their views. There is also a panel one can participate in and, to give you a further incentive, there is an industrial session in the afternoon that on can attend separately if interested. Please tell me what you think.
