      Description

      Dear Sir or Madam,
I am contacting you to request a speaker for the Time Machine Conference<https://conference.timemachine.eu/> on 11 October in Dresden.
The aim of the conference is to connect companies and academia from all over Europe that are realising the potential of cultural heritage data for scholarship, education, creative and media industries, entertainment, urban planning, policy making and to inform about the potential of the project.

We believe a speaker from your organisation could be a great addition to our panel titled ”BUILDING A TIME MACHINE - ROADMAPS FOR THE LARGE-SCALE RESEARCH INITIATIVe”, which takes place on 11 October from 13:30 till 15:00.
The panel will focus on the topic of smart cities and how digitalisation, particularly for museums and archives, can contribute to improving the services offered by a city.

In particular we would be interested in hearing from either Olaf-Gerd Gemein or Cristina Brandstetter who I spoke at the Smart City Conference in Kiel last week.
The Time Machine project aims to develop the Big Data of the Past, creating a huge distributed digital information system mapping the European social, cultural and geographical evolution across times. This large-scale digitisation and computing infrastructure will enable Europe to turn its long history, as well as its multilingualism and multiculturalism, into a living social and economic resource.

Thank you in advance for your help.

      kind regards
