          Good Afternoon!

          My name is Jazmin Cruz, I’ll begin to work a Project us in the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

          But before starting to work and implement this project in the university, I need to know these requirements:

          • How much does Fiware cost to use it?
          • If I use it on your own cloud, do I have access to their system data: logs of user data, who accessed files, system configuration etc.
          • Can I download it on our internal servers/nodes/cloud?
          • if I set it up on our own cloud, how much would it cost?
          • what are the requirements needed to set these up our own servers?

          I have been looking all this information but I don’t have it complete yet. I would appreciate your help. Thank you

            • How much does Fiware cost to use it?

            FIWARE Generic Enablers (GEs) are all Open Source and because of that free of charge.
            Besides, if the are used through their APIs, this does not constitute derivative work. This is a quite useful property of the FIWARE Technologies as often FIWARE-based solutions built by SMEs are delivered as closed software.

            • If I use it on your own cloud, do I have access to their system data: logs of user data, who accessed files, system configuration etc.

            If the tenants you intend to build are on our infrastructure, i.e. and FIWARE Lab node, you can of course access all information of the virtual machines constituting your tenants.

            • Can I download it on our internal servers/nodes/cloud?
            Absolutely yes! please find attached a document that explain how to install a FIWARE infrastructure. Of course if it is not your intention to become a FIWARE Lab node, you can discard the concerned steps.

            • if I set it up on our own cloud, how much would it cost?
            Nothing is due to us. But of course i guess you have costs wrt to your organisations

            • what are the requirements needed to set these up our own servers?
            The minimum is in the document. Anyhow, if you start from scratch the minimum installation of OpenStack is enough.
