      Description

      Hi,
I am founder of BudgetBakers and I am writing you about Fiware Enabler:
ObjectStorage. I would like to use it in production, but what i heard, your
solution is not prepared for production deployment. What should i do? Can I
      install object storage somewhere else?

      Kind Regards
      J. Muller

        Hello Muller,

Partially correct: the Object Storage GE is available under Apache License (2.0) at this catalogue web page: http://catalogue.fiware.org/enablers/object-storage-ge-fiware-implementation/downloads
This enabler is basically the OpenStack Object Storage (Swift) and of course you can use it also in production; just download it from GitHub and install/deploy wherever you want.

What is not available for production purpose is the Object Storage GE already instantiated in FIWARE Lab; this means that in general you cannot use FIWARE Lab in production.

        Best regards,
        Marco

        It is.
The following is the Object Storage Installation and Administration Guide that you can use: https://forge.fi-ware.eu/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Object_Storage_-_Installation_and_Administration_Guide
Since the Object Storage GE is built upon OpenStack Swift, you can also take a look to the Swift’s documentation here: http://docs.openstack.org/developer/swift/#welcome-to-swift-s-documentation

        Hope this helps.

        BR,
        Marco
