      Dear FRACTALS’s coachers,
A company has proposed to use 3rd party login facilities (Facebook , twitter social login) that Keyrock IDM is supposed to offer them.
We have not seen this feature working , do you think is it possible to use it?
      Best regards,
      FRACTALS’s teac team

It seems the 3rd party login was a planned feature, according to the architecture specifications:
          https://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/FIWARE.ArchitectureDescription.Identity_Management_Generic_Enabler

But we are checking if the feature got indeed implemented or not.

          Hi Alvaro,

Could you kindly confirm if the third party login feature is already implemented and working for IDM?

          Many thanks in advance,

          Dear Alvaro,

An additional note: One of our coaches said " I have integrated IDM also in another project, but there is not a feature like this as far as i know. However IDM supports Oauth which you can implement this standard in any programming language."

Could you kindly confirm if this is the case? or is there support for 3rd party login through IDM directly?

          Thansk again,

          ilknur

          Hi,

yes, we support OAuth2 protocol there. And we also support SAML in order to federate multiple nodes. I don't know if with this I answer your question.

          Thank you very much Alvaro,

Can you confirm whether I understand this correctly?

In order to allow logging in to 3rd party systems, somebody needs to implement OAuth or SAML from their application, and this is a little different than the mechanism that was described in the wiki:
          https://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/FIWARE.ArchitectureDescription.Identity_Management_Generic_Enabler#3rd_Party_Login_to_Services

Or does IDM provide more direct mechanisms as mentioned in the wiki, i.e. that does not require additional implementation from user apps?

          Thanks again,

          ilknur

Developers have to use an Oauth2 library in their applications in oder to allow their users to log in using FIWARE accounts.
